Bartholomew County Humane Society is excited to partner with the BISSELL Pet Foundation (BPF) Fix the Future spay/neuter program
BPF Fix the Future aligns with BCHS's mission.
Fix the Future is a spay/neuter program where BISSELL Pet Foundation pays contracted veterinarians and connects them to host organizations (such as BCHS) to offer accessible spay/neuter, preventative vaccines, and microchips. This program both prepares shelter pets for adoption and provides crucial services to community-owned pets.
Proactively address overpopulation
Reducing the number of unwanted and neglected animals
Prevent unnecessary suffering
Providing accessible preventative care so pets can thrive
Promote responsible
pet ownership
Helping every pet live a safe, healthy, and valued life with community support
BPF Fix the Future makes a difference.
Since November 2023, Fix the Future has supported over
155 organizations in 27 states
and has spayed/neutered over
160,000 pets across 3,700+ surgery days.

By fixing 2,000-3,000 animals annually, BCHS can address regional
overpopulation within 3-5 years.

By performing 2,000-3,000 spay/neuters annually, Fix the Future's high-quality, high-volume program can help reduce BCHS's 3-3.5% annual increases in animal intake and address regional overpopulation within 3-5 years.
