About Us
Bartholomew County Humane Society (BCHS) has been an institution committed to providing humane care for animals in need in Bartholomew County for over 50 years. Started as a grassroots effort by a small group of dedicated individuals, BCHS has grown to a $2M not-for-profit organization employing 10 full and part time staff and providing care to 700 animals each year.
Our mission
The BCHS mission is to enable people to become responsible pet owners and provide humane support to abandoned and homeless animals.
Our vision
The BCHS vision is of a community where animals are cared for and they are never abandoned.
